Unit 3.The Bold and the Bashful

Bashful comes from Early Modern English word bash, that means to lose composure and be dismayed. It is used to describe a person that acts shy or feel uncomfortable around people. This feeling usually comes as a result of a low self-esteem. On the other hand, the word Bold refers to someone confident, that take risks. 

Unit 3 presents the general reasons why, people are shy, as well, shows  through a recent research made by Dr.Philip Zimbardo that americans are getting more shy everyday,due to several factors , one of them is the use of technology.

The Internet and Other Addictions

In this unid we talked about the Internet and other Addictions, we discussed that not all the time that we use the Internet is because we are an addicted. We  also use the Internet to work and to do the homework. The teacher said that there are others addictions like sex, drugs and coffee. In fact we learned that some words in Spanish mean one thing and in English mean another thing for example condescending in English mean, see other people as inferior and Spanish mean the opposite or present with that mean when you go to the doctor for a have the problem.
