unit 4.Tipping Point

According to Cmbridge Dictionary, Tipping Point refers to a time during an activity or process when an important decision has to be made or when a situation changes completely. An example of a tipping point for dominican history was the dearh of Rafael Leonidas Trujillo on may 30th ,1961 after 30 years of dictatoship. 
One important part of unit 4 is listening 2,which talks about the tipping point of fighthing crime in New York,for a long time this issue concerned citizens but after the police decided to work on improving the subways , thanks to a theory called the Broken Window, crime rates started to drop.

Unit 5.Feng Shui:Ancient Wisdom Travels West

In this unit we learned about Feng Shui , an ancient Chinese art,that uses energy  forces to harmonize individuals with their surrounding environment to create good luck. T he term F eng Shui   literally translates as "wind-water" in English.The origin of Feng Shui dates from over 3000 years ago. A nother topic that was discuss in the unit was the use of Spoken discourse conectors that join ideas within and between sentences in other to make them understandable for the reader or listener.They are used to express the meanin g of contrast , addition and result. Examples :   - I went to visit my aunt last week,however she was not there, because she had a meeting. - Maria lost the bus today and on top of that she got wet when she was walking back home. - Several people lost their houses as a result of the flooding.
